In the canteen.
Mu Rusen, Mu Rulin, and Zhou Yaya were sitting by the window, waiting for Mu rulan. However, since Mu Rulan had been called to Mo Qianren’s office, she was running late.
“How much longer do we have to wait?” Zhou Yaya’s expression wasn’t good. As she recalled the conversation from before, her mind flashed through all the past occurrences of Mu Rusen and Mu Rulan standing very close together.
They were really… really close to each other when compared to other siblings! And they only had a one-year difference in age.
“If you’re hungry then you can eat first,” Mu Rulin said, not concerned at all. Translated by The Novelst
Mu Rusen was playing with his phone, not even bothering to answer her question.
Zhou Yaya’s face turned stiff. She stretched out her hand to take away Mu Rusen’s phone. He raised his head unhappily, his brows furrowing. “Give it back!”
“I want to eat some cake. This is your time to shine, go and get it for me.” As she was speaking, her mouth seemed to loosen a little, like she wanted to give Mu Rusen a smile. But then she felt conflicted – it was like she was trying to flatter him. How could she, Zhou Yaya, do something like that?
Mu Rusen was going to respond with the sentence, “Can’t you get it yourself if you’re craving it?” so sensing this, Mu Rulin quickly elbowed him before he spoke.
In the end, he had no choice but to stand up and go grab the cake, thinking to himself: this is so annoying. He never thought that once he managed to get a girlfriend that he would become her slave. If he had known earlier he wouldn’t have chased Zhou Yaya; it wasn’t fun at all.
When Mu Rusen was gone, Zhou Yaya glared coldly at Mu Rulin, her gaze clearly blaming him. “What’s wrong with you? Is this what you call helping?” Lunch was the perfect time for them to be alone and be cutesy, but she had to stay with the two brothers and wait for Mu Rulan to eat?
Mu Rulin quirked the corner of his mouth up. “I hope it’s clear to you that you asked me for help. I didn’t beg you to go out with Sen.”
Zhou Yaya wasn’t stupid. The reason Mu Rusen had confessed to her was probably because it was the first time he met a girl that ignored him, which had sparked some curiosity in him.
This was clear to everyone except Mu Rusen himself. But now that Zhou Yaya had returned that interest, she would naturally be unwilling to let Mu Rusen stay with her while mumbling the whole time about Mu rulan.
Zhou Yaya’s chest heaved as she struggled to restrain her anger. “Yes, I asked you for help. But didn’t you promise me that you would? All I want is just to be alone with him!”
“Normally, Sen would be willing to stay with you only because I’m around, but you still give me that look as if I’m the third wheel here. Zhou Yaya, do you think of everyone in this world only you have brains?” Not even bringing up Mu Rusen, Mu Rulin was also a little annoyed by this girl.
“Mu Rulin!” Zhou Yaya shouted lowly, embarrassed.
Wasn’t this girl trying to control even him?
“What’s wrong?” A gentle voice sounded from behind them.
“Sister,” Mu Rulin’s sharp gaze suddenly disappeared as he stood up and took Mu Rulan’s jacket to hold for her.
“S-Sister,” another voice from not too far away spoke up. Bai Suqing saw Mu Rulan and quickly stood up in a panic. Her face was pale and her voice was quivering like she had just seen a ghost.
A few young boys noticed her expression and couldn’t help but be curious and disbelieving toward Mu Rulan.
Bai Suqing was actually quite smart. Humans were the easiest to control of all living beings. The only reason she couldn’t shake Mu Rulan’s current position was because she didn’t have enough chess pieces.
Even though there were now only five or six people who had begun to believe her, in the future that number would increase. As long as there were people at Liu Silan who defied Mu Rulan, that would be her first step toward victory!
Mu Rulan smiled and sat down. Mu Rusen had already seen her from far away. He didn’t rush back but instead took a few more plates to bring back foods that Mu Rulan liked. In the end, Zhou Yaya received one pitiful cake while Mu Rulan received a pile of food.
The sharp contrast between her and Mu Rulan somehow made Zhou Yaya feel embarrassed.
“Ah,” Mu Rusen sounded, cutely opening his mouth and waiting for Mu Rulan to feed him a fish ball.
Mu Rulan felt helpless and gave him a glare, before feeding him the fish ball and saying, “You’re all grown up now and you still need your sister to feed you? Grab your own fork and eat.”
Mu Rusen grinned and shook his head, “I don’t wanna. I want sister to feed me.”
Mu Rulin swallowed, his adam’s apple bobbing as he watched the two. He was angry and jealous, this brainless kid was getting in the way! Then a fish ball appeared in front of Mu Rulin, accompanied by Mu Rulan’s adorably gentle smile. Mu Rulin felt his heart jump in his chest.
Mu Rulin maintained his normal, calm expression and ate the fish ball.
Zhou Yaya lowered her head. Translated by The Novelst
Again… It was this feeling once again! The three of them only had each other in their eyes and didn’t leave her any room to squeeze in. Though she was sitting there with them, and Mu Rulin sat beside her they… only had eyes for Mu Rulan!
Bai Suqing was sitting not far from them. She had been paying attention out of the corner of her eye and looking at this scene, she laughed in her heart.
Hmmph, it was just as she had expected. Zhou Yaya had a very domineering inclination toward possessiveness and liked to be in control of people and situations, which made people repressed and uncomfortable.
As long as Mu Rusen continued to be attached to Mu Rulan, and as long as Zhou Yaya continued to love Mu Rusen, then she could surely await a day where the dog bites a dog, and she would be the one to come out on top and take advantage of them both! Hmmph!
